Fayette County Sheriff says gun thieves have been targeting trucks with hunting, gun, and patriotic stickers and breaking into them. Most folks like expressing their hobbies and passions in the form of stickers, whether it's on their car or cooler. But some criminals have been getting savvy.

If you have a sticker or decal depicting a gun, NRA membership, or even a Browning logo, make sure you've got your vehicle locked. It could be a message saying "Here's What's Inside" to criminals looking to make off with a handgun they could potentially flip to an unsavory buyer. Common thieving grounds include gym parking lots. This particular case originated at a gas station where the driver did have their truck locked.
