Meet Garrett Thiemens. Garrett grew up in Spokane and went to college at WSU, where he was the mascot 'Butch.'  After college, he was 'Blitz' for the Seahawks and the game day organizer. Garrett now lives in Richland with his wife Ariana and two little girls, Emmalea and Ella. Some might say it takes a special person to have the personality and energy to be a mascot, and knowing Garrett I would say those assumptions are correct!

Garrett is a funny man, he keeps me laughing on Facebook, and today he is at it again. Two years ago we shared a picture of him, with Emmalea and Ella, picking up his wife, Ariana at the Pasco airport. He wore tattered clothing, his face unshaven, his hair was a mess, he had paint on his clothes and face and he looked exhausted. But his two girls were perfectly groomed, full of smiles, and holding balloons and chocolates, awaiting their mothers' arrival. Garrett was holding a sign that read "Thank God Mama is home!"

As funny as the first sign was I didn't expect Garrett to upstage himself, but he definitely did. Today while picking Ariana up from the Pasco airport, once again he came displaying his welcome home sign, only it didn't say welcome home. Garrett was dressed in western wear and holding a sign that read "I Started Watchin' Yellowstone Without You." The look on his face was priceless, like a man clearing his conscience and coming clean to his wife. Absolutely priceless.

I have seen some funny airport signs, but this one might just take the cake. I look forward to Ariana taking many more trips, but I mostly look forward to her arrival home, to her lovely husband and his goofy ways. Thanks for keeping it entertaining on Facebook Garrett, can't wait to see what is next.
