Since moving back to Washington, I've been determined to get out and explore more. I recently vacationed in Montana and loved every bit of it. So, I've been checking out various destinations.

I found quite a unique place in Sequim, not too far from Tri-Cities!

Real Life Hobbit Hideaway Is a Must Do Washington Experience

Add this real-life hobbit hideaway to your bucket list of places to stay in Washington.

This 500-foot custom-built house is completely underground! You'll have the complete dome house for yourself and your guests. It sleeps 5 people comfortably, with a loft. The living room has a single bed, sofa-bed, and two mattresses. There's a double bed in the bedroom. Here's a bonus, pets are allowed.

You don't have to worry about keeping warm in the winter, as the bathroom features a heated floor.

You'll enjoy the fire pit any time during the year. The house is on a half-acre, so privacy isn't an issue. There is limited wifi.

The space is also cannabis-friendly, should you choose to partake.

This property is within walking distance to Sequim Bay State Park and the Olympic Discovery Trail.

Becca rates this place 5 stars!

I really enjoyed celebrating my birthday at this AirBnb on the Olympic Peninsula! It’s cozy and comfy, and just a short walk (or drive) away from Sequim Bay State Park. There’s no microwave, but the oven, stove, and toaster oven are sufficient. And there’s no tv, but there are two portable DVD players and a selection of DVDs. (All but four weren’t kid-appropriate, FYI parents). The loft was a huge highlight for my kiddo - so fun! We would definitely stay here again!!!

Good luck with booking it, it's pretty much reserved through September already. That's when my reservation is.

LOOK: Here are the best lake towns to live in

Many of the included towns jump out at the casual observer as popular summer-rental spots--the Ozarks' Branson, Missouri, or Arizona's Lake Havasu--it might surprise you to dive deeper into some quality-of-life offerings beyond the beach and vacation homes. You'll likely pick up some knowledge from a wide range of Americana: one of the last remaining 1950s-style drive-ins in the Midwest; a Florida town that started as a Civil War veteran retirement area; an island boasting some of the country's top public schools and wealth-earners right in the middle of a lake between Seattle and Bellevue; and even a California town containing much more than Johnny Cash's prison blues.
