How’s Your Roof Holding Up Under This Wind? — Don’t Neglect Repairs!

I spent some time this last weekend on my roof repairing loose tiles. The wind is getting bad, and is likely to get worse. Don't neglect your roof this time of year or you'll pay for it later!

You can get a bucket of roof tar for $10-$40. A lot of brands call it roofing cement.

Get up on your roof with a ladder and find loose shingles. With a caulking gun -- or something like it -- dab a little more than a quarter-size blob and press that shingle down.

For less than $50 and an hour of your time you'll save big in the long run.

Be careful up on that roof, though. I don't want to lose any listeners this way!
