It Took Troopers and SWAT to Arrest Ornery DUI Driver

So let's say you're driving along, you've had too much to drink, and your licence is suspended. It's a good time not to speed. But you were speeding and you get pulled over. (Well, he didn't actually pull over...they had to spike-strip him) Now there you sit with flat tires and it's pretty much the end of the night at that point, you're busted. It's gonna cost a lot of money and your gonna do some jail time. That's just the way it is. So how do you make it worse? By refusing to get out of your vehicle, for starters. Troopers did not know if this guy was armed or not and SWAT was called in. After a one-hour negotiation, the guy finally gives up, no worse for wear, except a whole lot of extra charges piled on and his car windows broken out by bean bag rounds. And he probably had to pee really bad. All this went down outside of Toppenish. The driver was a 54-year-old fella from Seattle.

The moral of the story is: If the extra charges and jail time are worth the 'story' to tell the grandkids, then by all means, do it! Maybe they'll learn from your story...maybe they'll end up in jail. Either way, a fun night of memories will be had by all.
