Four men, three from Yakima described as drug traffickers have been arrested for transporting 370 gallons of liquid heroin. The men were arrested in late January according to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Oregon.

THE THREE MEN ARE BEING HELD IN OREGON ON FEDERAL CHARGES

The men have been charged by criminal complaint with conspiracy to distribute and possess heroin. The three men from Yakima have been identified as 44-year-old Marco Antonio Magallon, 26-year-old Luis Deleon Woodward and 25-year-old Jorge Luis Amador. A 4th man was arrested, 32-year-old Santos Alisael Aguilar Maya but federal officials say his place of residence is unknown.

THE FOUR MEN ALL HAVE TIES TO A MEXICO BASED CRIME ORGANIZATION

The officials call the 4 "drug traffickers with apparent ties to a Mexico-based transnational criminal organization."
Court documents say the men were arrested as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation when authorities learned on January 24 that they were were transporting a "large load of illegal narcotics into the District of Oregon."

INVESTIGATORS LEARNED OF THE TRANSPORTING OF DRUGS AND FOUND THE VEHICLE ON THE ROAD

During the investigation authorities say on the evening of January 24 they noticed a rented moving truck and another pickup traveling together west on Interstate 84 near Bonneville, Oregon. They followed the vehicles to a motel in Tigard, Oregon where investigators executed federal search warrants on January 25.

GUNS AND DRUGS WERE SEIZED IN THE SEARCH

In the search they "seized eight 55-gallon barrels containing approximately 370 gallons of a liquid narcotic (heroin) inside the moving truck and two loaded handguns inside the motel room."
