Washington and Oregon Fire Officials Urge Residents to Check Restrictions Before Heading Outdoors
My wife and I are planning another trip to Oregon for camping this weekend, and as we prepare to go, new restrictions have been implemented in Washington and Oregon due to the potential for wildfires.
Fire Officials Say These Simple Steps Could Prevent the Next Major Wildfire
As you know, we've got a lot of wildfires in our region right now, and a single spark could easily spark another one.

Don't Head Into the Woods Until You Check These Fire Restrictions
Fire officials are reminding residents and visitors in Oregon and Washington that fire restrictions are still in effect.
“Right now, everyone needs to be extremely careful,” said Jeff Fedrizzi, Chair of the Pacific Northwest Wildfire Coordinating Group. “Current fire conditions mean that just one spark, a discarded cigarette, or an unattended open flame can ignite the next wildfire.
After the lightning we've received over the past 10 days and the number of new fires already burning across the landscape, we need the public's help to prevent additional fires and protect our firefighters, our communities, and our natural resources.”
