Sick of all those dandelions taking over your lawn? Why not put them to good use! Besides picking them and making a wish, that is. That makes one way, but I've got three more, so keep reading!

3 Ways to Put Dandelions in Your Yard to Good Use

Washington residents are starting to pick up what the 'Dandelion' is putting down, including health benefits and a sense of recycle, reuse, repurpose.

Here's 3 ways you can take those annoying fields of dandelion weeds and turn it into something wonderful. I would have never thought of doing these myself; I have Accomplished-Two1738 on Reddit to thank for these brilliant uses.

#1: Jelly

The Shiloh Farm says you only need 10 cups of dandelion heads, boiling water, lemon juice, sugar, and a few other ingredients to make it into a tasty dandelion jelly. You can store it in a Mason jar.

#2: Infused Oil

The dried dandelion flowers are used to nourish your skin.

#3: Eat the Green Leaves

I'm from Tennessee and my people used to eat dandelion leaves from the back yard (and my mom probably still does, lol). Did you know that dandelion leaves are edible and a great source of vitamins! Some people have started adding them to their smoothies to help improve their iron levels.

#4: Wine

Now, f you're going, "Hmmm, I'm not sure about that last one,", you're not alone. I've never heard of Dandelion wine before. Who knew there is a recipe for that! (Here's one from AllRecipes.com).

This guy on YouTube, HowToDoneRight, is going bananas over the idea of turning dandelions into wine!

You can mark today down as one of those TIL days! (Things I Learned Today!)
