I scream, you scream, we all scream, but that's besides the point.

Ice cream is a universal treat found just about anywhere around the world in their own form or fashion.

Though I'm here to assume, as I haven't tried it everywhere, that the ice cream made right here in the United States has to be the best in the world. We have all the dairy farms and proper dairy is what makes the best ice cream.

You go to the freezer section of your local grocery store and there are plenty of options to choose from at a variety of prices.

Not that you're asking me for my opinion, but my favorite ice cream I've ever had comes from Winegar's in Ellensburg. They sell it by the scoop at that Thorp antique mall when you head to Seattle but also sell it by the pint at Yakima's Ship Shop.

In Yakima I'm a huge fan of both Icy Tai as well as Sweet Sisters Ice Cream. You may even find me grabbing the flavor-of-the-month at Baskin Robbins on occasion.

If there's a best, then what's the worst?

Well, 24/7 Wall St. listed the 8 worst ice creams and, wouldn't you know it, the #1 worst ice cream is sold right here in Yakima and most places around Washington State.

What is the worst ice cream?

According to 24/7 Wall St. the worst ice cream brand is Blue Ribbon Classics.

First of all, I'm not here to judge, but they weren't awarded a blue ribbon, that was the name they gave themselves.

Also, to be fair, it's not a proper ice cream. It doesn't have enough quality ingredients to classify as actual ice cream, so there's that.

They've been around since 1913 according to their label. Not sure if it was real ice cream once when they first started then, along the way or through corporate buy-outs the ingredients lessened along the way, I'm not sure. I can tell you I've had it before and no complaints from me. I have zero issues with Blue Ribbon Classics, but according to this list and their own criteria, they say there are better options out there.
