A one man band from called Steel Beans made a big splash across social media platforms this weekend.

So What's the Deal?

A video showed the artist sitting behind a drum kit with his guitar, his belly hanging out of what appears to be a kimono, his 70s porn-star face intensely focused on the task at hand. It definitely stops the scroll.

"Is this guy for real? Or is it a bit?" I asked myself as I tried to understand exactly what I was looking at.

As it turns out, I was looking at a star being born.

Make sure your sound is on, press play on the video below, and you'll see what I mean. Be prepared to pick your jaw up off the floor.

Who is Steel Beans?

Steel Beans is Jeremy DeBardi of Everett, Washington. He has a passion for blues-based classic rock, comedy and absurdity.

How Long Has Steel Beans Been Around?

As with all "overnight sensations," Steel Beans has been at this a while. Since 2007, to be exact. In fact, the band - such as it is - is hitting the road to celebrate 15 years of making music.

In that time, they've released 14 albums, their latest release is the cleverly titled Maestrodosing.

Steel Beans Raising Money to Go On Tour

Touring costs money, so a Go Fund Me was launched, which 'Beans new-found fan-club quickly contributed to.

As of this writing, donors have helped Steel Beans raise $9,548. That's more than the original goal of $7,000. So all that's left for you to do to support this indie rocker is to catch Steel Beans at one of two Oregon shows this week.

Where Can I See Steel Beans in Oregon?

Parting Thoughts

This moment, right here, is lightning in a bottle. You can say you saw Steel Beans the same week they went viral. Just as all that hard work began to pay off. Just before they appeared on the Tonight Show (could happen), and signed to a major label (should happen).

That's my hope for you both, at least.
