The crash took place Friday morning at the intersection of West Wapato Road and Campbell Road.

One person was injured and the jaws of life were needed to extricate the person from the wreckage.

Also Friday morning in Zillah, a single-vehicle roll-over crash sent five children and a female driver to the hospital with injuries.

According to Washington State Patrol, the 30-year old Sunnyside woman rolled her 2000 Toyota Sienna minivan on Interstate 82 just after 8 am.

The group was traveling eastbound when the woman overcorrected and lost control of the minivan, which rolled into the median. The minivan was totaled.

All of the occupants of the minivan were transported to Astria Sunnyside Hospital for evaluation.

The woman is being charged with negligent driving.

Another reminder that this weekend, Washington State Patrol is conducting a speed emphasis. Slow down. Observe the speed limit.
