Kellen Moore Expected to Remain Cowboys’ OC
When a new head coach is hired, he usually cleans house and brings in his own staff of coordinators and coaches. But, when Mike McCarthy slept over at Jerry Jones' mansion (ew), I'm sure Jerry told him that Kellen Moore had to stay.
Rumors are saying that the Prosser-born wiz-kid will indeed remain in charge of Dallas' offense. This looks to be a good move. Even though the Cowboys missed the playoffs, they were the number one offense in terms of total yards and yards per play. They were also second in passing yards, and sixth in points scored. The Moore-run Cowboys offense also did a good job in preventing turnovers, ranking in the top 10 in both total turnovers and fumbles lost.
Many fans thought that Kellen Moore would be the heir apparent to the Cowboys throne should Jerry finally pull the plug on Jason "Clap, Clap, Clap" Garrett. But the end came sooner than most cynics thought. If Kellen maintains this level of productivity next year, look for him to be getting calls from Head Coach-less teams in 2021.
