A 38-year old man was taken into custody on Monday accused of abusing a minor female for several years.

The victim reported the abuse to Kennewick Police on Monday. Her age was not disclosed.

Benton County Sheriff's Deputies along with Kennewick Police arrested Bret Emineth after an interview with the girl.

A warrant was granted to search a residence in the 2000 block of West Second Avenue to gather evidence of the alleged incident.

Emineth was booked into the Benton County Jail for Rape of a Child 2nd Degree.
