Kennewick Teacher and Ki-Be Coach Arrested For Child Pornography
On Thursday July 27, 2017 detectives from the Walla Walla County Sheriff’s Office, and several regional law enforcement partners, served a search warrant in Benton County. Edwin J. "Eddie" Bush, age 29, was arrested for Communicating with a Minor for Immoral Purposes and multiple counts of Possession of Depictions of Minors Engaged in Sexually Explicit Conduct.
Bush is a teacher at Hawthorne Elementary School in Kennewick and a wrestling coach for Kiona-Benton City School District. Kennewick School District officials have placed Bush on administrative leave "pending the outcome of a continuing criminal investigation."
A sheriff's civil deputy said the arrest took place in Benton County but no disclosure was given about the nature of the search of the suspect's residence and property, only that the alleged crimes occurred in Walla Walla county and Benton County sheriff's deputies assisted.
Bush is currently in custody at the Walla Walla County Corrections Facility. He is being held without bail. The investigation is continuing; it is currently unknown if there are any additional victims.
