The Kennewick Police Department would like the public to know they are hosting a free family food distribution event tomorrow, Friday, November 20th, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., in conjunction with the Kennewick Police Foundation, at the east visitor parking lot of the Kennewick Police Department, 211 W 6th Ave.

The event will be a drive-through procession with contactless distribution of non-perishable pantry style food, holiday meal vouchers, and gift cards for additional food items. In addition, they will have backpacks, books, and school supplies. There will be enough inventory for 300 families on a first come, first served basis.

Some of the participating businesses pitching in to help provide relief include: Winco Foods, Grocery Outlet, Walmart, Red Apple Market, Retter and Company, Ranch and Home, Hapo, STCU, Firehouse Subs, Three Rivers Community Foundation, Boys & Girls Club, Boy Scouts of America, Communities in Schools, The Children's Reading Foundation of the Mid-Columbia, Second Harvest and UA Local 598.

We recognize there is always a need for additional food sources in our community. The Covid-19 pandemic has increased that need greatly. The Kennewick Police Department, with the Kennewick Police Foundation will be hosting a food distribution event tomorrow, November 20, 2020 from 12:00pm - 3:00pm in  the east visitor parking lot at 211 W. 6th Ave. The event will be a drive-through event with contactless distribution of non-perishable pantry style food, holiday meal vouchers, and gift cards for additional food items. In addition, we will have backpacks, books, and school supplies. We will have enough supplies for 300 families on a first come, first served basis. We would like to thank our great community members and local businesses who regularly donate to the foundation and the businesses specifically for helping make this event possible.
