Gehrke Windmill Garden Is Another Roadside Attraction In Grand Coulee

Another amazing display is the Gehrke Windmill Garden.

Over his lifetime, folk artisan Emil Gehrke and his wife created hundreds of handcrafted windmills and whirligigs out of spare parts, household items, and assorted ephemera. After their deaths, the pieces were slated to be destroyed, but friends and neighbors rallied to save the collection, as well as establish a permanent public home, where the slowly disintegrating, but still functional art can be enjoyed today.

Laser Light Show At The Grand Coulee Dam Is A Highlight Of The Road Trip

Besides getting a tour of the Grand Coulee Dam, the wrap-up of your day has to include an amazing laser light show that'll wow the family.

The best part is that the laser light show at Grand Coulee is free.

The “One River, Many Voices” laser light show will resume on May 28, 2022. It will run nightly at 10:00 p.m. PDT through July 31. Beginning Aug. 1, the laser light show will start at 9:30 p.m., and beginning Sept. 1 through Sept. 30, it will start at 8:30 p.m.
