There is nothing more beautiful than the sight and sound of these waterfalls in the Lewis River Recreation Area of the Gifford Pinchot National Forest.

View stunning imagery from the upper, middle, and lower falls of the Lewis River Falls in Washington. Visitation to the area has grown over the years and you'll need a permit. You can make your reservation here.

The waterfalls are a nice hike or bicycle ride along the trail. Dogs also enjoy the trail. If you bring your dog, please pick up after them.

A co-worker recently took a road trip to Lewis River Falls and camped in the area.

From the Forest Service website:

This area is located 26 miles east of Cougar and 29 miles west of Trout Lake, WA and provides access to the popular Lewis River Trail and associated waterfall viewing. The Lewis River Recreation Area includes Lower Falls Campground and Day Use area, Lewis River Horse Camp, and parking areas associated with Crab Creek, Middle Falls, Upper Falls (Quartz Creek), and Wright Meadows.

A reserved parking pass is needed to park your vehicle at any of the six (6) sites along the 14-mile stretch of Forest Road 90. If you like to camp, do yourself a favor and book a camping trip here. Or, if you enjoy hiking or biking, or spending time with the family, plan a day to explore. And, if you are into nature and waterfalls, simply plan to be in awe. Be sure to take lots of photos.
