Local Grocery Store Recalls Cheese Due to Listeria Scare
If you shop at Yoke's Fresh Market check your cheese...the grocer is recalling two types of their store brand COLBY cheeses due to possible listeria
According to a post on the US Food & Drug (FDA) website:
Out of an abundance of caution and with an emphasis on customers' wellness and safety, Yoke's Fresh Market is proactively recalling two types of Colby cheese due to a potential contamination of Listeria monocytogenes.
It is important to note that no illnesses have been reported to date.
The affected products were manufactured by Guggisberg Cheese, Inc. and by Deutsch Kase Haus, LLC of Middlebury, Indiana. The affected products were sold in Yoke's Fresh Market stores in WA and ID under the grocery brand's private label.
The recall consists of two Colby cheese products. The products being voluntarily recalled are:
Colby Jk Longhorn Cheese - Yoke's Fresh Market 16 oz.
Colby Longhorn Cheese - Yoke's Fresh Market 16 oz.Yoke's customers who have purchased these products between 09/01/16 and 01/27/17 should return them for a full refund. Customers with questions can call Yoke's at (509) 921-2292 ext. 55.
