Man Struck by Vehicle in Kennewick taken to Hospital for Injuries

A man was taken to a local hospital Sunday night for injuries after being struck by a car in Kennewick.

Washington State Patrol, Kennewick Police, and the Kennewick Fire Department responded to the car vs. pedestrian collision in the 1600 block of Chemical Drive, just before 7 pm.

The 29-year old pedestrian reportedly crossed the major roadway and was hit by a northbound vehicle. The driver was not injured. The incident shut down Route 397 in both directions for a time.
