Mesa Rock Slide Slows Traffic Along SR 17

The Franklin County Sheriff's Department is telling drivers to avoid SR 17 near Mesa. A rock slide is preventing travel.

The Franklin County Sheriff's Department is saying that  SR 17 is closed near Mesa due to a rock slide that occurred between mp 9 and mp 10. It will probably take a few hours to get this cleaned up, so please avoid the area if you are traveling that way.
