Most Phones Are Lost While Partying

I read this article today about losing personal property and was totally floored when it said I will lose 200,000 items in my lifetime....holy crap that's a lot of stuff. It also said the #1 item we lose is our cell phone's. In a recent study Americans lose about $30 billion (that's with a B) worth of phones per year. Most of those phones disappear while your out partying with friends.

My question is: Where the hell are all these phones going? Are we as a society totally dishonest?
