"These are the Star Wars stamps you are looking for."

And just like that, saying the line, with the wave of one hand, while handing me a simple slip of paper that had this web address on it with his other hand, my Kennewick mailman let me know that I would be able to soon purchase a new series of postage stamps from the USPS honoring all things droid in the multiple layers of the Star Wars franchise/universe.

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, the guy who delivers my mail, to a spread of secured boxes about a block and a half from my crib, and I, have kind of gotten to know each other over the past decade or so, starting off mostly with nods, to lately a friendly sentence or so exchange. Sometimes on my way home if I see his truck by my layers of mail slots, I know it can take him a while, so of course I'll park up the street, check my phone and stalk him.

I've lived in the same Kennewick digs for over 10 years and as long as I can remember he's been the mail guy. Sure there have been others, but this dude, he's been the one who lives the mission statement: "Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night nor the danger of light-speed skipping stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds."

I suppose he's seen me enough to notice my endless Star Wars attire that I'm constantly sporting. I wear to work on a regular, rotating basis, my Mandalorian shirt(s), a purple Boba Fett and my BB-8 droid design sketch T-shirt. Apparently that's enough to know I'd be interested in Star Wars stamps to be released in the Spring.

He would be correct.
