Bravo, Dean Guitars. You've just created one of the coolest custom axes we've ever seen! The new guitar is the Dimebag Darrell Signature ROOTS ML.

Limited to only 200 individually numbered pieces, the razor blade inlays into the guitar's body were actually cut from a branch of an old oak tree from the late guitarist's backyard, right outside the studio where Pantera recorded a few of their legendary albums.

On Dec. 8, 2004, Dimebag Darrell was shot to death by a crazed fan while performing onstage with Damageplan in Columbus, Ohio. The senseless slaying broke the hearts of metalheads worldwide and is still spoken about as a true tragedy. Countless tributes have been paid to Dime, and this new Dean guitar ranks up there with the most meaningful.

After securing the blessing of Dimebag Darrell's loved ones, Dean carved out pieces of the old oak tree, which stands just outside where Pantera recorded some of their most celebrated works.

Only 200 guitars with the oak razor blade inlay have been produced, so grab yours asap before they all get snatched up.

The Dimebag Roots ML was unveiled at this past weekend's NAMM convention. While it isn't on sale just yet, shredders can pre-order the special-edition axe from Dean Guitars.
