Olympics Dresscode: Less Skin?

Well, this is enlightening. The 2012 Summer Olympics in London will mark the first change in beach volleyball since 1996 in Atlanta. At least the dress, that is. Instead of strictly bikinis, players will be allowed to wear tops with sleeves and shorts.

"Shorts of a maximum length of [1.18 inches] above the knee, and sleeved or sleeveless tops," is what the IOC ruling states.

What's the cause for the change?
