New West Richland Elementary School – #11 – Taking Shape
Elementary School #11 West Richland
In March 2017, the Richland School District selected Design West, Kennewick, to be the architectural firm for the new elementary school in West Richland. The District’s 11th elementary school will be built near the intersection of Belmont Boulevard and Sunshine Avenue (the address is 2100 Sunshine Avenue). The new school will be 65,000 square feet in size and house approximately 600 students. Listed below is the project timeline.
- The District will use Elementary #11 during the 2019-20 school year to house Tapteal Elementary students while the new Tapteal is being built.
- In 2020-21, the District will use Elementary #11 to house Badger Mountain Elementary students while the new Badger Mountain is being built.
