No More Drinking on the Oregon Coast!? Say it Ain’t So!
After work on a Friday you pack up the crew and head to the Oregon Coast. You're looking forward to kicking back, relaxing, and starting your day with a brew or bit of wine on the beach while you watch the sun set over the Pacific. Well, scratch that from your head because soon, you may not be able to.
A bill was proposed to criminalize drinking on the beach in Oregon. The bill was proposed due to the amount of litter left behind by alcohol cans and bottles. Sure, there are soda cans and bottles left to, but by far there is more booze-related litter. Probably because, well, when people are drunk they tend to be less considerate. It's pretty ironic for a state that proposes to be as "green" as Oregon does. If the bill passes it will mean a misdemeanor with fines up to $1,250 or 30 days in jail! Yikes! We'll keep an eye on this to see if it passes. So drink up while you can, just stop leaving your trash on the beach! Come on!!
