Nuclear Fuel Rod Becomes a Truly Unique Water Fountain

This is something you'll only see in the Tri-Cities a water fountain made out of nuclear fuel rod!

The 'Nuclear Fountain' stands an impressive 13 feet tall and is installed at the Hanford Reach Interpretive Center in Richland to celebrate the 60th anniversary of  Energy Northwest. The fuel rod was used for testing in the 1970's and never actually held any nuclear materials therefore IS NOT radioactive!
