Oregon Teen’s Million-Dollar Socks HOP!
Brennan Agranoff is a typical seventeen-year-old resident of Sherwood, Ore.
Like so many of his peers, his days are spent going to high school, doing chores and earning extra money after school.
We're talking knock-your-socks-off money made after school.
Is a million dollars too cool for after school?
Brennan is the founder and CEO of HoopSwagg, a custom-design sock business. He came up with the idea at the age of 13 while at a basketball game and with some original financial backing from his father, Dad says never underestimate the power and ability your kids have to do something cool, Brennan learned his craft of graphic design from the ground up by absorbing basic coding concepts and learning all aspects of the business.
He comes up with his ideas himself based on what's happening right now or just some of his random thoughts. He gets about 100 new orders every day for the more than 500 designs he's created. Brennan works about five or six hours a day after school but it's a labor of love. He plans on pursuing a college education, but first he plans on graduating early from high school to work for his company full-time.
It's with a matter-of-fact-giddiness that Brennan realized he has enough socks in his warehouse to wear every day until the day he dies.
Next up for HoopSwagg is branching into retail with traditional brick-and-mortar stores.
