Pasco High School Athletes Returning to Restored Facilities This Fall
When you get to visit the newly restored athletic facilities at Pasco High School, it should feel like an entirely different place with all the upgrades.

The gym has a brand new floor and new LED lighting installed. The tennis courts have been renovated. The softball field has been redone. Last but not least, there are new LED lights at Edgar Brown Stadium.
The Gym Transformation Is the Most Dramatic Change
The gym lights are a much bigger change than you would think. I guess the old gym lighting was installed back in the 1950's and needed an upgrade badly.
For nearly 70 years, student-athletes competed under lighting that cast the gym in a yellowish tint. Everyone just accepted that as normal, but not anymore.
The new LED lights are dramatically brighter, turn on instantly, and light up the space in a way that makes the old setup look like a cave.
The color difference alone in the room is something fans, players, and coaches will notice immediately when they walk in.
Pasco High Gym Floor was Replaced
The floor in the gym also got a complete replacement, but it was really needed. The old court surface had developed a reputation for being slippery and a safety concern for any sport played on it.
The new surface has much better grip, reducing the risk of falls and keeping athletes safer during practice and competition.

The tennis courts received fresh concrete, no cracks, no patches, just a clean new surface. The softball field is in the middle of a complete renovation. Edgar Brown Stadium and the soccer fields also received new LED lighting.
How This Upgrade Was Paid For
The improvements were made possible by remaining funds from a 2023 bond that also largely funded the construction of two brand-new Pasco School District high schools, Sageview High School and Orion High School, which opened in August 2025.
