The Pasco Police Department released a Critical Incident Community Briefing video that includes information related to an officer-involved shooting (OIS) on March 13, 2022, in the area of 6th Ave and W Lewis St.
Police were responding to a 911 call reporting two males fighting. Upon arrival, officers found a male on the ground with stab wounds.
Officers witnessed another man with a knife and ordered him to drop it. The man refused and charged at the officers with the knife. Police shot at the suspect. They began administering first aid to the suspect.
The suspect was transported to a local hospital where he later died of his injuries.
