A rape suspect with a woman and 2 kids in his car, led local police on a 120 mph high speed chase through Tri-Cities before being bumped off the road and arrested.

Police spotted 30 year old Richard Vasquez around Hood Avenue and Volland Street in Kennewick driving a red Nissan Altima.

After police tried to pull Vasquez over, he allegedly sped down Edison and heading east onto highway 240 and reaching speeds of over 120 mph, according to news reports.

Vasquez then crossed the median, headed west and hit two police cars and one civilian car trying to get to Interstate 182.

Police managed to pop his tires with spike strips and bumped him off the road near the Dallas Road exit.

Vasquez had been charged with first-degree rape and unlawful imprisonment in Franklin County Superior Court after being accused of raping a woman in a Rodeway Inn motel room Jan. 17th.

Vasquez was arrested and the woman and two kids that were also in his car were not injured.
