Puddle of Mudd’s Wes Scantlin Arrested on Two Warrants After Being Caught Speeding
Puddle of Mudd frontman Wes Scantlin has reportedly been arrested yet again. After being stopped for speeding last night (May 7), Scantlin was booked after his info was run by Hollywood police, who found warrants for the musician's arrest -- one for driving with a suspended license and one stemming from his recent cocaine bust.
Puddle of Mudd's Wes Scantlin has been leading a troubled life as of late, recently going through a divorce, owing the IRS $60,000 in back taxes, getting busted for cocaine possession, causing an airplane to perform an emergency landing after an alleged drunken altercation with a flight attendant (public intoxication charges were later dropped by JetBlue) and allegedly stealing his ex wife's car.
All of the aforementioned instances with Scantlin occurred within a period of just over a year, and the Puddle of Mudd frontman just added to his growing list of issues with yet another arrest. According to TMZ, Scantlin was pulled over for speeding at around 11:30PM PST last night and taken into a nearby police station shortly after. The frontman was released a few hours later after posting $11,176 bail.
Scantlin pled guilty for his past cocaine charge, but avoided jail time after having judgement deferred for 18 months and being ordered to enroll in a drug counseling by Aug. 8, 2012. Completion of the program may allow Scantlin's cocaine charges to be dropped entirely, but there's no telling how this latest arrest will affect the judge's future decision.
