It takes a lot of time and love to take a playful puppy and turn him or her into and assistance dog for veterans and those with disabilities. That's exactly what they're doing at the Eastern Oregon Correctional Institution in Pendelton. The amazing canines learn quickly from a very early age how to open and close a door, turn lights off and on, retrieve a dropped item and even...are you ready....how to load and unload the laundry!

Naturally, the love goes both ways and really helps the inmates who are spending so much time with them.
