According to Walla Walla County Emergency Management, a number of advisories, watches, and warnings have been issued across the area.

The heaviest amount of rain will be over the Washington Cascade Mountains with 3-4 inches likely to fall into Wednesday.  In Oregon, the Cascades will experience 1-3 inches of rainfall.

Snow levels will fall to 3,000 to 4,000 feet in the Washington Cascades, while in Oregon at 4,000 to 6,000 feet.

The combination of rainfall and snowmelt will cause increasing flows on rivers, creeks, and streams with increasing rises.

At this time, no widespread flooding is expected on the large rivers, but minor flood impacts may be seen on smaller streams and creeks. The water levels are expected to peak late Wednesday and decrease through the rest of the week. If you live along a creek, stream, or river, be aware of the changing conditions and continue to monitor weather and streamflow forecasts.
