Richland Man Arrested for Child Sex Trafficking

A Richland man named John R. Pine (John R. Abrams online) has been arrested on charges of child sex trafficking. He was arrested after the 16 year old victim contacted police and then police observed him make sexual advances, talking about profiting from her in the sex trade, and then arranged to meet her again at a park according to news reports. The police were waiting, observed him showing up at the park less then 1000 feet from a school.

Then police arrested him the next day at his work on, July 12th, and charged him with two counts of attempted child sex trafficking and coercion and enticement of a minor to engage in criminal sexual activity.

The 16 year old victim said she had allegedly met Pine online and had been previously sexually assaulted by him at a park after they met up. She continued to keep contact with Pine online and he had asked multiple times to pick her up from school to have sex.
