The most romantic day of the year, so we are to believe, is coming up this Sunday (February 14th) with Valentine's Day just around the corner.

If you are planning to exchange wedding vows on that day, you may want to consider doing it in Seattle. In a recent study by our friends at WalletHub.com, they rank the Emerald City as the 13th best city to get married in. They also rated Seattle the 4th-best city to spend Valentine's Day in as well.

They based their findings on data such as number of event planners, bridal, flower and gift shops, venues and event spaces, mobile DJs and musicians, and videographers/photographers per capita (person). They also considered the average number of COVID-19 cases in the past week.

Personally, my wife of 13 years and I had a very small wedding in front of our Christmas tree at our home on December 30th of 2007. Other than the two of us and the officiant, the only attendees were our parents, kids and siblings. The following September, we held our wedding reception at Yakima County Stadium following the completion of the (then) Yakima Bears baseball season. We even used the giant video board to replay our wedding ceremony for those that weren't in attendance! It was pretty unique, I think. Of course I did propose to my wife in a romantic way. I popped the question to her on top of the Empire State Building in Manhattan (New York City) as some of my bride's favorite movies of all-time is "An Affair to Remember" and "Sleepless in Seattle."
