I read an article posted in the Tri-City Herald over the weekend and was surprised to find out the sheer fire hazard that occurs each year from the Firework show on the Pasco side...apparently the major growth in west Pasco has made it hazardous to continue the Pasco Grand Ole 4th Celebration at Gesa Stadium...

Hundreds of new homes and businesses have grown around Gesa stadium since the firework show began in 1997 and has now become dangerous because of the debris field.

It's pretty sad for Pasco residents however the River of Fire Festival is still alive and well!
