Six Youths Tied to Eight Kennewick Residential Break-Ins Arrested
With alarming frequency and using increasingly brazen tactics, a string of Kennewick residential burglaries might have come to an end as a total of six youths are now detained in the Benton County Juvenile Justice Center accused of residential burglary.
This is the press release from the Kennewick Police Department:
Between 11-07-19 and 11-12-19, there was a series of residential burglaries at apartment complexes near 10th Avenue and Olympia Street in Kennewick. There were at least eight burglaries with similar circumstances.
On 11-12-19, at 1916 hours, a resident called 911 and reported that a group of males were attempting to force their way into her apartment. Kennewick patrol officers were nearby and were able to arrest three juvenile males. Detectives and patrol officers worked together to conduct further investigation. At the conclusion of the night, six juvenile males were booked into the Benton-Franklin Counties Juvenile Justice Center under suspicion of residential burglary. This investigation is on-going.
