A Hermiston resident noticed a few weird slime bubbles in his yard after the recent rain. Then noticed a few more and then even more! Slugs? In all the years he's live there, he's never seen a slug. Frog spawn? You need a pond for that, don't ya? Is it a living slime like a fungus? Under a microscope, it shows no living cells. What could be in the soil that would make the slime appear after a rain? Insect slime? Plant slime? Experts don't have an answer right now, and the slime is being sent to Oregon State University.
