The South Columbia Basin Irrigation District announced the final dates for the 2019 irrigation season.

Water will be turned off for all blocks on Tuesday, October 22, 2019. The last day for delivery changes for all blocks will be Monday October 21, 2019.

SCBID Irrigates lands in Franklin County with a small number of acres irrigated in Walla Walla County, as well. SCBID serves over 230,000 acres of land within the Columbia Basin Project.

The water source servicing the irrigated lands within the district starts at Grand Coulee Dam.

Each Irrigation District operates and maintains many of the facilities used to deliver water to landowners, and have the statutory authority to make decisions on development, water delivery, payment for and distribution of new water supplies as available. Each irrigation district is a subdivision of the State government, self-governed by a Board of Directors.

The District announces September 14, 2019 as the last day for Saturday ditch rides.
