Can You Hear Me Now? Statewide Verizon Outage Appears to Be Fixed

Thousands of Verizon wireless customers were affected by a major outage last night. Good news the interruption in service seems to repaired as of this morning.

While the outage map shows nationwide interruption in service it appears Washington state was the hardest hit and more specifically Eastern Washington. According to Verizon service has now been restored...what caused the outage? Verizon says it was something to do with the fiber lines which their engineers have now repaired.
