Sun-Blind Driver Creates Big Wreck at 4th & Edison in Kennewick
Yesterday was the Summer Solstice, which means the longest day of the year. The sun rises early and sets late. If you travel to work early as I do. This is the time of year the sun is always in my eyes on the way in and I'm constantly flipping my sun visor up and down. On shorter days, it's headlights on and driving in total darkness before the sun even comes up. Right now the sun rises just after 5:00 a.m. and sets just before 9:00 p.m. In Alaska, this is the time of the midnight sun. In Anchorage, for example, the sunsets at 11:46 p.m. That means it's still quite light well after midnight.
