Suspect Arrested for Girlfriend + Child Killed, Burned North of Pasco

A 25-year-old Connell man believed to have killed and then burned his young girlfriend and her 4 year old in remote Franklin County Thursday night was arrested July 4.

The bodies were found in a burning car in a ravine about a mile from any road. Authorities believe they are from Othello and can identify the victims but said they are waiting to do so.

The suspect was picked up for an unrelated reason but is believed to be the killer. First-degree homicide is the charge.

Authorities also believe there was likely an accomplice. They are not speculating a motive.
