road trip

Last week I made a road trip down to Indio, California for Weekend 2 of Coachella 2013. Myself and three of my friends packed into my rig last Tuesday to start the trek and after a total of ~50 hours drive time and 2700+ miles later, we made it to the festival, partied, and got back early Tuesday afternoon. Since returning, I've started listening more to a few of the bands that I saw perform. Here are just three of them, in no particular order.

The annual Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival gets underway today in Indio, CA with tens of thousands of music fans converging onto the Empire Polo Grounds. For the next two weekends people from all over the country and world will dance and party with more than 150 bands on 7 stages staggered between massive art installations.

It's been a festival I have wanted to attend for a long time and was stoked that I was actually going to be able to make it happen this year. Music spanning almost every genre for three days in sunny California? Yes please.
