Sarah Connor changed the future. But she didn’t change her fate.

August 29, 1997 was supposed to be Judgment Day. It didn’t happen. (I feel like you would know if it did without me telling you.) But somehow, in the new Terminator: Dark Fate trailer, there are still Terminators out there hunting people. They include Arnold Schwarzenegger’s classic T-800, and Gabriel Luna as a new advanced model of Terminator. Connor’s ally this time is an “enhanced” human played by Mackenzie Davis. And Sarah (Linda Hamilton) even gets to say “I’ll be back,” this time.

Just in time for the anniversary of Judgment Day, here’s the new Dark Fate trailer.

The film’s official synopsis:

Linda Hamilton (“Sarah Connor”) and Arnold Schwarzenegger (“T-800”) return in their iconic roles in Terminator: Dark Fate, directed by Tim Miller (Deadpool) and produced by visionary filmmaker James Cameron and David Ellison. Following the events of Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Terminator: Dark Fate also stars Mackenzie Davis, Natalia Reyes, Gabriel Luna, and Diego Boneta.

I still have no clue if this movie is set after T2, and the Connors did successfully stop Judgment Day, how Schwarzenegger’s T-800 is still a character hanging out, all silver fox-y in the present. But I guess that’s what you have to watch the movie to find out. Dark Fate opens on November 1.
