Mississippi State pitcher Trevor Fitts wanted to grow some facial hair before the current baseball season. The problem was Coach John Cohen did not allow his players to be unshaven, except for a well-trimmed mustache. Fitts wasn't having that. So the sophomore pitcher decided to create a PowerPoint presentation that would not only prove to his coach why the team should be allowed to rock full beards, but also how the facial hair would actually help the team win games and make it to Omaha, the location of the College World Series.

The genius move worked as Coach Cohen allowed his players to grow beards for the season. Now, starting tonight and for the first time since 2007, the Bulldogs will be playing for the College World Series Championship.

Trevor Fitts takies the mound in game one of the best of three series against UCLA tonight at 5 p.m.

Good luck and beard on, brothers.
