Another scam is getting people to click and it's all about that second stimulus check everyone is waiting on. If you get a text concerning a stimulus check, don't click, and here's why:

If you got a recent text or receive a text concerning another stimulus check, don't click on it. There is a scam going around trying to get people to give out their personal information with the hopes of getting a stimulus check in return.

Here is what the text says:

"You have received a direct deposit of $1,200 from COVID-19 TREAS FUND. Further action is required to accept this payment into your account. Continue here to accept this payment …"

If you click the link, it'll send you to a fake government site and will ask you to enter your personal information - DON'T DO IT!

The IRS will NEVER text or email consumers so be aware that you are getting scammed if you get an email or text saying that they are the IRS.

We all want that stimulus check but Congress hasn't even passed a bill for the second stimulus check. If you haven't received your first check, reach out to the IRS.

You can read more details on the scam here.

Be careful because crooks and scammers have no problem taking your money from you and trust me, they won't care that it's the holidays. Stay safe!
