The Arts are Alive and Well for Young People in the Tri-Cities
Posted below is a 3D conceptual video from Design West Architects of what the re-design of the Richland High School auditorium, currently the biggest high school auditorium in the Columbia Basin, might look like.
It is getting a much needed facelift to make the space and live performance experience much more audience friendly.
No longer will it have the expansive single rows of seats stretching the width of the auditorium. Better access to the seats is planned as a pair of mid-center aisles will be constructed. The capacity of the auditorium is currently 1495 seats, after the re-model the venue will hold 1250.

Meantime over at the Academy of Children's Theatre, they are in the final phase of their construction of a new theater on site at their home on Wellsian Way. That project was substantially supported by Windermere Realty when they graciously purchased the naming rights. The new Windermere Children's Theater is slated be officially open by the 2021-2022 ACT season.
