The Inventor of Green Bean Casserole Has Died
Several classic dishes taste like a family Thanksgiving to me and one of those is green bean casserole. What a wonderful concoction, topped with those silly canned onion ring-like things that you buy only once a year. It all started in 1955 and it was a challenge to make a veggie dish with Campbell's Cream of Mushroom soup. It was once called The Mother of All Comfort Foods! Gee, I thought Mac & Cheese always had that title! This is the wonderful story of a woman named Dorcas (I'll have to look up the history of that interesting name) Click HERE.
