We had some local business heavy hitters step up like they always do in a pinch, but mostly the smaller donated amounts added up and carried the day that eventually totaled out at $10,875!!

It was 2020's second round of Tri-City Strong Radiothon on this Giving Tuesday, December 1st. The broadcast day was over 13 hours long hoping to raise money and goods for those most impacted by the shutdown and COVID-19. Those with mental health challenges, children, seniors, the homeless and our food banks.

Sponsored by KAPP/KVEW Local News, news anchor Carissa Lehmkhul and her technical crew were on location at the Town Square Media campus digs, the Palace in Pasco, early and often doing cut-ins, on the Channel 42 Morning Show until 9:00 a.m.

We could not have pulled this off without our friends at The Coca Cola Bottling Company of Yakima & Tri-Cities, Yakima Federal Savings and Loan, Member FDIC, Legends Casino Hotel and Benton REA. Thank you to Hayden Homes for their $5000 donation and $1000 was donated by Retter & Company Sotheby's International Realty.

A very special thanks to the Gesa Carousel of Dreams, especially those phone bank volunteers who diligently took in the pledges and communicated your generosity to us for over 13 hours until the final tally was achieved.

Our benefiting partners include Grace Clinic Chaplaincy for mental health advocacy; YMCA for the youth of the Columbia Basin; ANSIL for the homeless and impacting ALL focus areas since the pandemic began, Second Harvest Food Bank and other Tri-City area food pantries and shelters..
